Tips to control Hair Fall



Hair loss happens mainly due to accumulation of dust in scalp and in hair. Maintaining the hair neatly itself reduces half of the hair loss problem. Other reason like infection may also lead to hair loss, which should be consulted by the doctors. There are many home remedies which give better results in hair loss.

Below are few which are very effective and can be made very easily at home.




1.   Take half a cup of 'amla' powder, add to it two tablespoons of castor oil and one full egg and make into a smooth mixture. Apply on the hair and the scalp, leave on for about 30 minutes before shampooing. This reduces hair fall.

2.   Grind the coconut and take the coconut milk. Massage coconut milk (juice) on the scalp can help in the management of hair fall.

3.   Hot water showers should be avoided because hot water will make your hair dry and brittle which leads to hair fall as it strips protective oils from your hair. Thus, prefer a temperature which is just a bit warmer than your body temperature.

4.   Wash your hair every 2-3 days, for proper regulation of natural hair oils. It reduces the hair fall to greater extent.

5.   Allow your hair to dry by itself instead of using a blow-dryer or hot rollers. The heat applied directly to hair causes hair loss.

6.   You can wash hair with a paste made from Neem leaves. This is effective for hair loss .This is particularly effective for hair loss caused due excessive build up of scalp oil or invasive skin infections.

7.   Make a mixture prepared from adding honey and olive oil to some cinnamon powder. Apply and leave it on hair for 30 minutes and then do shampoo washing with cold water.

8.   Before washing your hair, apply the juice extracted from crushed coriander (dhania) leaves.

9.   Use a mixture of curd and gram flour (chana atta) that should be kept-on for at least an hour before bathing.

10.  Nuts and seeds like almond and peanut can be taken which arrests the hair fall.

11.  Green vegetables and all foods rich in proteins, calcium and iron will reduce hair fall. Avoid combing through wet hair. Your hair is more susceptible to breakage when it is wet.
