Water Heater

     Water heater had become essential these days but it should be handled safely.These are the safety measures to be taken while using water heater.
1.Don't turn on the hot water while the water heater switch is on.After the water gets heated switch off the water heater and then fill the hot water.
2.Before you switch on the water heater check the water flow in the pipe.If you are using the water heater and if there is no water in the tank it will lead to the damage of water heater and even short circuiting.
3.It is good to check the proper working condition of water heater for every 3 months by an electrician.


Refrigerator
     Refrigerator also had become essential these days.By taking good care of the refrigerator we can extend the lifetime of the refrigerator.These are the steps to be taken for the proper care of refrigerator.
1.Cascade is the main part of the refrigerator present in the refrigerator door.It is good to change the cascade atleast once in a year because if you do not change the cascade there will be a formation of cracks in the cascade.These cracks may not be visible to our eyes.Coolant present in the refrigerator leaks through this cracks which in turn increases the electricity consumption.
2.Don't use knives to take the ice cubes from the freezer.It will damage the surface of the freezer.
3.Close the refrigerator door every time and check  whether it is closed properly.

Easy Cooking(Snacks)


Oats Vadai
      Oats vadai is a healthy as well as very easy to prepare.
                                               Ingredients
     channa dhal(kadalai Paruppu) - 1/2 Cup soak for 1 hour
     Red Chilli                                   - 2
     Anise Seed(Sombu)                   -1/2 teaspoon
     Oats                                             -1/2 Cup Soaked in water for 10 min
     Salt
     Grind the soaked channa dhal,2 red chilli and half a tablespoon of anise seed by adding little amount of water in the mixer  grinder till it becomes fine paste.Now add the soaked oats in to paste and add some salt.Now make small balls and then make it in to vadai shape.Now put this in the oil and fry it till it becomes golden brown.Have it with coconut chutney.It will be delicious to have.

      
   
Idly Flour(Idly Mavu) Pakoda
   Just 10 minutes is enough to make delicious idly mavu pakoda.
                                Ingredients
    Idli Mavu                                      - 1 Cup 
   Onion                                             - 1
   Green Chilli                                  - 2
    Rava                                               - 3 tablespoon
    Curry Leaves
    Salt
    
    Take a cup of idli flour and add all the items(1 onion,2 green chillies,curry leaves,salt and 3 spoon of rava) to the idly flour.Heat the oil in the pan and take a pinch of idly flour and put in the oil.
Then take out from the oil after it gets fried.Do it in the same way by using the remaining idly flour.You will get a crispy and tasty idly four pakoda.


Fried Gram(Pottu Kadalai) Vadai
  You want to prepare vadai in few minutes then opt for fried gram vadai.
                                    Ingredients
    Fried Gram                                   - 2 Cup 
    Green Chilli                                 - 5
    Roasted Groundnut                      - 1 tablespoon
   Curry Leaves
    Onion                                             - 1
    Salt
    Grind 2 cup of fried gram and 5 green chilli in the mixer grinder for about 5 minutes.Then add 1 cup of roasted groundnut and curry leaves for about 2 minutes.Now add some water to this mixture till it becomes thick paste.Then add 1 finely chopped onion in to this mixture and add some salt.Now heat the oil in the pan and put this mixture by making in to vadai shape.Wait till it turns in to golden brown colour and then take out the fried gram vadai.

1. Cucumber to get rid of ants
                          If you have ants problem in your kitchen you can use cucumber skin to control that problem.Ants hate cucumber.So peel the cucumber skin and place it in the place where you find ants or near the ant hole.You will get rid of ants very soon.



2. Black Pepper to get ride of rats or mice
                     To get rid of mice or rat from the kitchen this tip will be really useful for you.sprinkle black pepper in places where you find mice or rats.They will run away from  that place because they are allergic to black peppers.


3.cleanse plastic container
                 We use plastic container to keep most of the kitchen items.We must clean this plastic container  often since  the item stored in the plastic container  are used cooking.So clean this plastic container  atleast once in the month.For cleaning if you use soap or detergent bar there are chances for getting these soap getting stick in the plastic box.So it is better to use whole green gram powder or split bengal gram powder for cleaning the plastic box.By washing the plastic box with whole green gram powder or split bengal gram the plastic container  will be clean and shiny.

4. Boiled Water for clean Ice cubes
                    You want to get clean and pure ice cubes??.Boil the water and then place the water till it reaches room temperature.Then place the water in the freezer.By following this process we can get  clean and pure ice cubes.


5.Sprite for cleaning mirror
                  To make the mirror sparkling shine wash the mirror using sprite.Take a clean cloth and dip it in small amount of sprite and wipe  the mirror.Then clean it with the clean cloth.The mirror will shine.

     Hair conditioner are available in plenty in market but they contains chemicals and we may have some hesitation in using that product.Those people can better opt for natural hair conditioner made from the items available in kitchen shelves.There are numerous packs available but these are few most simple and effective home made conditioner meeting the needs of our natural hair.

Egg with Lime and Honey Hair Conditioner
        Egg is a natural conditioner which will do wonders to your hair.It helps to soften the hair and it gives shiny look to your hair.Now take an egg and beat it  and now add 2 spoons of honey and 2 spoons of lime juice.Beat this mixture till it mixes well.Apply it on your hair and scalp gently.Massage the scalp gently for about 10 minutes.Now allow the pack to dry for about 30 minutes.Now wash your hair with mild shampoo.

Banana with  Curd Hair Conditioner
       Don't throw away the overripe bananas it can be used as a natural hair conditioner.Take 1 overripe banana cut in to small pieces and immerse it in a cup of curd for about 30 minutes.After 30 minutes grind the soaked banana with curd in the mixer grinder till it becomes as a thin paste.Take strands of hair and apply this paste along the length of the hair from root till tip of the hair.Leave this paste for about 45 minutes and then wash your hair thoroughly.

Mayonnaise Hair Conditioner
         Egg and lime juice are the basic and major ingredients of mayonnaise.These products acts as a good conditioner to hair.take about half cup of mayonnaise and heat for few minutes.Now apply this mild heated mayonnaise with the brush all over the hair from hair root till the tip of the hair.Leave the pack for 45 minutes.Now wash the hair with mild shampoo and you will feel the softness of your hair.Continue to use this pack till you get a better result.

Saffron Hair Conditioner
             Saffron gives deep conditioning to your hair and also it helps to give shiny look.Take 2 tablespoon of saffron and boil the saffron strands in the water for 10 minutes till the colour of the water changes to mild orange colour.Now filter the saffron stands and add 1 spoon of honey and 2 spoon of lime juice to this saffron water and mix it thoroughly.Apply this saffron water to the scalp and hair.Leave it for about 30 minutes.Then wash your hair. 

Avocado Fruit Hair Conditioner
     Take an overripe avocado and make slices.Now grind the sliced avocado by adding 2 spoon of olive oil in the mixer grinder till it becomes thick paste.Now wash your hair with water.Apply this paste in the wet hair for the full length.Leave this paste in the hair for 45 minutes.Then wash your hair with mild shampoo.Continue this for better results.

Home Made Pack to Strengthen Nail
     Soft nail usually crack easily.so it is important to strengthen the nail.Take a cup of olive oil and heat it till it reaches warm temperature.Now soak the nail in the warm olive oil fr about 5-10 minutes.Do it on alternate days to get good results.You can use almond oil instead of olive oil.Repeat the same procedure for almond oil.You can do this regularly to harden soft nails and give strength to them.

Home Made Pack for Cuticle Care
      Many people face this cuticle problem like swollening of cuticle and peeling of cuticle.It may hurt you badly and also it will not look good .So you can use this home made pack to prevent these type of cuticle problem.Take 1 spoon of sandalwood power, 1 spoon of turmeric powder and mix it with rose water till it becomes a thin paste.Apply this paste around the nails in the cuticle area.Then wash this pack after 10 minutes.You will see good results on continous usage.
      If the cuticle remains soft you will not face these problems.To soften the cuticle massage the cuticle with warm olive oil or almond oil daily after bath.


Home Made Pack To Get Rid of Discoloured Nail
       Discolouration is caused due to various reason.But everyone wants to have white and shiny nails.There are 2 ways to get rid of discoloured nail and to whiten them.
1.Add Few drops of lemon in warm water and soak your nail in the lemon water for about 10 minutes.Do it regularly to get rid of discoloured nails.
2.Soak cotton balls in vinegar and apply on the nails.keep it for 7 minutes and then wash the vinegar.

        It is easy to reduce 3-5 kgs in a week with little effort.GM diet has been popular these days which lays down certain rules to be followed a on every day in a week.If you are ready to follow this plan you will easily reduce about 5 kgs. You must consume atleast 3 litres of water during these days to get best results. These are the rules to be followed in during the 7 days.

Day 1
      First day is the fruits day,you can eat all types of fruits except bananas.It is better to have lot of water content fruits like watermelon.you can have coconut water which helps to keeps the stomach full.First day helps to cleanse your body.This day helps to prepare the body for GM diet.
Sample Diet For Day 1
Breakfast(8.30 A.M-9.00A.M)
1 apple and 1 bowl of water melon with 2 glasses of water
Mid Morning Snack(11A.M-12P.M)
1 bowl of guava with 1 glass of water
Lunch(1P.M-2P.M)
1 bowl of papaya and 1 bowl of melon with 2 glasses of water
Afternoon Snack(3.30P.M-4.30P.M)

     Second day is the vegetable  day, you can eat all types of vegetables.You should start a day by having 1 potato with butter.It helps  to provide carbohydrate for the rest of the day.But after breakfast you should not consume potato but you can have any type of vegetables.It is better to have raw vegetables or half boiled vegetable.

Mid Morning Snack(11A.M-12P.M)

   This is the easiest day among all days in your GM diet plan.This day you can take about 8 medium bananas with 4 cups of milk.By the day 4 you would have gained sufficient amount of sweets from fruits and fibre from vegetables so it would be easy to follow this diet plan.Take as much as water you can.

100gm of grilled chicken 1 cup of cauliflower  with 2 glasses of water


Day 7
   Final day of the GM diet.You can have brown rice,all types of vegetables,fruits.In this day you can have fruit juice.In this day you should not have chicken or meat.

 1cup of raw vegetables with 2 glasses of water.

Home Made Facial for Sensitive Skin

        Facial is done regularly so that the skin becomes clear and you feel fresh. Face becomes clean because dead cells and black heads are removed.Usually facial consists of 4 stages,they are cleansing, toning,scrub and  face pack. we can do all these with the things available in the kitchen. This facial is very simple and very effective for sensitive skin.Try this twice a month and you will not  have a need to go to parlor.

Cleanser
         Cleansing is usually done to remove the dirt and natural oil like substance secreated in the skin. These dirt when they accumulate in the skin they block the pores and it leads to pimples. so it is necessary to cleanse the skin regularly to avoid pimples as well as to clean the skin.

          Chickpea and turmeric is  very effective as a natural cleanser.Take 2 tablespoon of chickpea and one tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix it with milk.Apply this cleanser as a mask in the face and neck.Leave it to remain for about 5 minutes.Then wash with cold water.Milk nourishes the skin and gram flour removes extra oil and dirt. Do this till the dirt is removed fully.After that apply the butter milk all over the face with the help of cotton balls and leave it for 10 minutes.Then wash off with cold water.


Toner
        Toning is done after cleansing. Toning is the last process of cleaning.Toning helps in removing the remaining dirt,dust and oil left behind after cleansing.Toning helps to stretch the face muscles and aids in opening the pores in the skin.
    Ice cubes is the best toner for sensitive skin.Rub your face with ice cubes in circular motion.This helps in tightening the pores and also it helps in improving the blood circulation.

Scrub
      Scrub is the most important stage in facial. It helps in removing the dead cells and it replaces the new skin which makes the skin looks younger.Scrub alone can be used atleast once a weak to get good results.

    Oatmeal scrub can be used for sensitive skin.Take 2 tablespoon of oats and immerse it in raw milk for 5 minutes and grind the oats in the mixer grinder.Use this mixture and rub it on he face and neck in circular motion for about 15 minutes.Then leave the scrub on face for about 5 minutes and wash the face.


Face Pack
    Final stage in facial is face pack.It helps in lightening the skin and also makes the skin clear.This pack alone can be used daily to control oil secretion and for skin lightening.
Potato and fuller's earth(Multhani Matti) acts as a good pack for sensitive skin.Take potato and peel off the skin.Grind the potato in the mixer grinder and take the potato juice.Take 2 tablespoon of multhani metti and add the extracted potato juice.Now apply this paste on the face and neck and leave it for 20 minutes.Now cleanse the face with cold water.
